My Journey

My path to becoming a therapist was driven by a deep-seated passion for understanding the human psyche and a desire to assist others in finding their path to healing and growth. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, gaining invaluable experience and insights into the variety of ways people navigate their struggles.

I hold a Master of Science in Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Anchorage, Alaska. Over my career, I have honed my expertise in a variety of therapeutic settings and equipping myself with a broad understanding of mental health care. My formal education and rigorous training have prepared me in numerous evidence-based modalities, including Brainspotting, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing, and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). Each therapy session typically lasts 50 minutes. This duration allows us to dive deep into the issues at hand while also respecting the time constraints of your daily schedule.

The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs and the nature of the issues you’re facing. We might start with weekly sessions and adjust as we progress, aiming to provide the support you need as you move towards your goals.

Yes, I offer online sessions for clients who are unable to attend in person or prefer the convenience of remote therapy. These sessions are conducted via a secure, confidential video platform to ensure your privacy and comfort.

I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, I kindly request a 24-hour notice to avoid being charged for the appointment.

Currently, I accept a range of insurance plans. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to verify coverage for mental health services and to understand your benefits. For clients without coverage, I can provide a receipt for services which you may submit for out-of-network reimbursement.
